On December 23, 2024, in Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc., et al. v. Garland, et al., Case No. 4:24-cv-478 (5th Cir.), the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit stayed the nationwide injunction on the filing deadline of the beneficial ownership information reports (BOIR) with FinCEN for all non-exempt entities.

As of the date and time of publication of this alert, FinCEN has issued an official statement extending the deadline for most entities to January 13, 2025.
