Jacob Rothman is an associate attorney on KPPB LAW’s commercial real estate finance and transactions legal team, where he works closely with Partner Samir Patel and Senior Associate Nicky Cooke to guide clients through every stage of a real estate transaction.
Jacob first joined KPPB LAW in 2023 as a law clerk, where he gained experience drafting contracts for hotel purchases and sales, coordinating due diligence on titles and surveys, and supporting transactions ranging from loans and mergers to LLC formations and restructurings.
He gained other law experience with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office under Madam D.A. Fani Willis, where he received multiple internal awards for his performance in the Case Intake Division. He gained other business experience through an extensive background in technology sales including spending six months living in Dubai, U.A.E. after launching an international business partnership with an ethical recruitment firm.
A graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, Jacob earned his law degree and a certificate in Land Use and Environmental Law while serving as a graduate research assistant to the law school dean and supporting faculty analyzing statistical data. He also led the Jewish Law Student Association as president. Before law school, he earned dual bachelor of business administration degrees in real estate & international business from the University of Georgia.
Active in the Atlanta Bar Association and the Georgia State Bar, Jacob also contributes pro bono counsel through LegalAid and consults with Universal Fundraising Organization, Inc. Born and raised in Atlanta, Jacob is fluent in Russian, a licensed real estate agent in Georgia, and an automobile enthusiast. He is based in KPPB LAW’s Atlanta office.
