- Commercial Real Estate Transactions & Finance
Gregory Preston is a senior associate on KPPB LAW’s Commercial Real Estate Transactions and Finance team, where he works with Co-Founding Partner Kirtan Patel and Partner Samir Patel. Together, they take a strategic, full lifecycle approach to helping clients navigate complex, commercial real estate and finance transactions.
Gregory has extensive experience representing lending institutions and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, including senior secured cash-flow facilities, asset-based facilities and subordinated credit facilities. He has a particular expertise representing clients in specialty finance groups, including industries such as franchised businesses, restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations and hotels. These transactions often include strategic acquisitions, real estate development or dividend recapitalizations and often involve intercreditor arrangements among various levels of the borrower’s capital structure. Gregory’s experience representing both lenders and borrowers allows him to understand each party’s goals and drive transactions to an efficient closing.
Gregory earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and his bachelor of business administration from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He returned to KPPB LAW in 2026, having first worked with the firm’s commercial real estate transactions and finance team as a law clerk during law school. Prior to rejoining the firm, he was a corporate associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Atlanta.
In 2026 and 2025, Gregory was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America list of “Ones to Watch” in the practice areas of project finance law and real estate law. A Georgia native, he is based in KPPB LAW’s Atlanta office.
